The Best Power Rodding Company
Top Rated & Reviewed Sewer & Drain Service Provider
I called this company going through the list from my Yelp search. I ended up committing to an appointment with another sewer line rodding/camera plumbing service company in the midst of those phone calls. However, Drains Inc (Tim) called me back about an hour after those calls and despite mentioning that I booked an appointment with someone else, he did not rush to hang up and go about his day. Tim spoke to me for 15 minutes and asked about my issue and gave me some really great advice to save me money. That kind of ethics and integrity is rare these days and he really didn't have to. I am keeping my appointment with the other plumber to be respectful to my commitment to the next day appointment for basic rodding, but I am definitely calling Drains Inc the next time something in my money pit of a house decides to go wrong. He hauls everything in his van saving you time and money for sewer line issues, which are almost always time sensitive (so no need to wait for a rodder or a camera to be borrowed or rented). On top of that he is a stand up guy with fair pricing, so win win. Drains Inc. Saved to contacts.
Good plumbers are hard to find, Tim was recommended another plumber who was out of town. Tim gave us an estimate over the phone, every thing was done right the first time. They arrived on time, rodded the mainline to the street, cleared out all the roots, returned a full flow, cleaned up, gave us a 6 month guarantee and didn't charge us a penny more than the quoted price. Almost all of the plumbers we get try to get us to replace our pipe for thousands of dollars claiming its broken, good plumbers just do their job without any hassles.
I have been dealing with sewer smell, sewer back-up, and rats in my basement for many months without much progress after multiple contractors and plumbers. I began the screening process again and found Tim to listen and problem-solve better than any other professional. His expertise really came through at multiple stages of the project. During his camera scope he identified problems not previously picked up. During the repair phase he talked me through the process and was very thorough and organized in his work. During final phase, he came back to hydrojet and rod the entire sewer system out to the city line and provided additional repairs to broken waters lines and gaps in the concrete floor. In the end, Tim did a major repair digging out our front yard to access and repair the sewer line. Tim was very professional, very responsive, and always did a great job cleaning up afterwards. The majority of the smell has dissipated and, for the first time, I have some peace of mind.
Highly recommend this company. I called them to get a septic system inspected. Tim returned my call the same day and actually came out the following day. Great service and very honest. Will definitely use this company next time we need the system inspected.
Power rodding services
Drains Inc offers a variety of solutions to many different problems. If root intrusion is causing a backup, the possible solutions will range from rodding (partially opening up of the sewer line to restore some drainage) to root cutting (cutting off the roots from the full diameter of the pipes). In both cases, the roots will eventually grow back. To eliminate this, the sewer line would need to be replaced. Each option has a different cost with different long-term effects.
Which option is best?
There may be several spots where there are partial obstructions. The closest one maybe open up only to have another blockage in the near future. It is always best to have the entire service line cleaned yearly to the city’s sewer main. Some contractors do not like to go all the way to the city main in fear of getting their rodder or cutter stuck. Drains Inc technicians are experienced and are able to rod, clean and camera the entire sewer to the city main.
Service line repairs and replacements
Occasionally, the blockage cannot be cleared by rodding or root cutting and the service line must be replaced. If the service line is in bad shape, then replacement may be necessary. These types of repairs need a permit from the village. Drains Inc is licensed, bonded, and insured, and has no problems obtaining permits. Call us at (847)485-0031 to request your FREE estimate.
